Is this the beginning of the end of illegal file sharing?

In a unanimous verdict today, the US Supreme Court ruled that file-sharing companies are to blame for what their users do with the software. This despite legal precedents set when Betamax video recorders were permitted in 1984. The justices held that people who distribute a device with the object of promoting its use to infringe copyright are also liable for the resulting acts of infringement by third parties.
